A total body off restoration was done in about 1988 to return this vehicle to its original grand elegance. This car is obviously a beauty but is probable incorrect in terms of authenticity for the following reasons: -Wheels appear incorrect. The inspection noted they are 34 x 4 1/2. The original correct wheels should be 37 x 4 1/2. To replace those on the car with correct copies run about $1800.00 each with tires, or about $9,000.00 for the complete car.-The electric horn appears to be incorrect type for the vehicle.-Side lights appear to have been incorrectly plated. Originals were plated on top and outer rim only. Not totally plated.-Original radiator shell was painted black, not plated.-Head light frames should be painted black not plated.-Supporting top bows are bowed about 2 inches, should have about a 4 inch angle at bottom.-Floor corners by door show metallic tie down plates, these should be leather to be correct.-There are no pockets inside of doors. Front area has no pockets, on both rear doors do have pockets, incorrectly designed.-Dashboard wood appears too good. It is a polished Walnut or Oak. It was original a very plain unpolished painted wood. Paul Martin 303-795-8469 67740@ads.ClassyAuto.com
