Description:
This 1926 Model T Ford Roadster will put a smile on your face. It will turn heads because this was the success car for Henry Ford. When you had one of these beauties you were styling. You can do it all over again. It is one of the finest Model T's that we have seen in a long time. Call the paint a #9. Call the interior fabulous. Take a look at the detail of the undercarriage in particular. This all steel body, a one man folding top and weatherproof storm curtains is just off a fresh restoration. All the receipts will become available to the buyer. Yes - it is black, a glossy black. We have all heard Henry's quote, 'the public can have any color it wants, so long as it is black.' The statement sounds like unmitigated arrogance, but the truth is that the only available finish in those days that would dry fast enough to keep up with the pace of Ford's production was black enamel. Perhaps we should mention the instrument panel. No - there is nothing missing. All Henry thought you would need is an ammeter. It is right next to the ignition. A speedometer was available at an extra cost option but who needed them in 1926? And speaking of speedometers when this baby gets warmed up and out on the open road you will probably be driving between 25 and 30mph - just in case you are pulled over. These were good times for Ford; let them be good times for you. Henry was selling more of them than the other offerings in Detroit at the time. 1926 was next to the last year for the 'T' model. The formula for this car is the same as it was in 1926: It was simple, it was tough, and it was cheap to operate. You will never restore a car like this for what this car is going for. This is one of the nicest Model T restorations you will find. If you have been looking for a piece of America's automotive history, please have a Streetside Classic sales associate walk you around this car. You will not be disappointed. They continue to appreciate in value. This vehicle is located in our Atlanta showroom. For more information,
