| Description: Yes, this 1929 Ford roadster pick up is 100% Henry Ford steel. That was your first question, right? Looking beyond the body, you'll also find a built 350 Chevy, a highly detailed chassis, and a stack of receipts that add up to more than $60,000. 'Nice truck' doesn't even begin to cover this one. The roadster pickup is one of the more popular body styles, and it's easy to see why. With the sporty open air experience of a roadster but the practicality of a truck, it's perhaps the ultimate hot rod for the guy who expects his hardware to act like a real car. The body has been artfully modified with a slanted windshield, shaved door handles, and a painted radiator shell, but there's no denying the Model A DNA underneath. And it's no secret that if you're going with black paint, you need to go the extra mile with your prep work, and it's obvious that these guys spent hours getting the sheetmetal right. Using two-stage urethane, the result is so deep and black that it looks like an oil slick, and it somehow emphasizes the roadster pickup's minimalist approach. You'll also enjoy cool details like the oak bed and the original style radiator guard. The interior is minimalist in scope, but not in quality. Tan leather was selected because of its contrast with the black paint, and it has been stitched into a cool update on a traditional look. The pleated seats are pure 1930s, but the sculpted door panels with two-tone materials are a custom trick that gives the interior its own personality. Modern Dolphin gauges have been fitted to the smoothed dash, and a tilt steering column makes it easy to get comfortable behind the wheel. This slick little truck also includes a hand-fabricated removable top that gives the illusion of a radical folding top, but lifts off and stores easily. The beautifully finished and well-engineered chassis makes this a radical-looking rod that you can actually drive. Power comes from a finely tuned 350 cubic inch Chevy V8 dressed in lots of polished aluminum and bright red paint that matches the frame. The valve covers look like they were lifted from an early Z/28 and block-hugging headers dump into a custom fabricated exhaust system that sounds amazing. An independent front suspension with polished upper and lower control arms and coil-over shocks is a vast improvement over the buggy spring Model A setup, and disc brakes give it impressive stopping power. Out back, a fully chromed Jaguar independent rear, complete with inboard disc brakes, gives this truck sports car handling. Classic American Racing wheels put a modern twist on the big-n-little look with 16-inchers up front and massive 20 inch wheels out back wearing 205/55/16 and 245/45/20 Kumho radials, respectively. As the receipts prove, you simply couldn't build this truck for the asking price, and why would you? This one is ready to go now, fully engineered and awesome to look at. Call today.
