Description: 1930Cadillac LaSalle Model 4057, 4 Door, 7 Passenger, Senior Red Touring Car, 340 ci V-8 engine number 870758A, Control Number 24196, 216 miles since body off restoration. It is believed that there are only seven Touring models left in the United States so this one is extremely rare. It has bench seats, leather, 2 jump seats, chrome spoke wheels, driving lights, fog lights, opera glass, side curtains, car cover, canvas roof. Restored to excellent condition, there are very few (1) rated cars and this is considered one of them. During restoration, two 1930 LaSalle vehicles - matching and merging components together were restored into one first class condition to come to what would be very close to identical with the original 1930 Phaeton (340 engine). Subsequent to the restoration, the vehicle was taken to the State of Colorado which issued a new Vehicle Identification Number and Control Number which are located on the firewall. At that time the original VIN number I.D. tags were removed from the vehicle. By any definition this car must be considered very rare and it is known to be very collectible. This vehicle is recognized in the 2008 International Membership Directory of the Cadillac LaSalle Club as a Senior 1930 Phaeton with Fleetwood Body No. 4260. According to the judging policy of that club, it is the opinion of the appraiser that this vehicle can only be recognized as a modified or assembled vehicle departing to a degree from authenticity as a fully factory produced and restored vehicle. This vehicle has been recognized at least twice (1988 and 1996) as Best In Class by the Club at National meets. It was declared a Senior vehicle with Badge Number in 1988 and 1996.
