Description: All numbers matching. 1939Lincoln Zephyr 4 door Convertible Sedan, Model No. 74, and Body No. 245.One of 301 built, approximately 8 remaining in the world. This car has a correct rebuilt '39 engine, rebuilt and accurate in every detail by well known engine re-builder with fifty years of experience with the Lincoln V12. All engine accessories such as starter, air cleaner, etc. are completely original and authentic for 1939. Car has the correct aluminum heads for 1939. It was rebuilt using all N.O.S. (New Old Stock) parts. It has a correct re-cored radiator, with additional cooling capacity, it does not overheat. In addition, it has a Columbia 2 speed rear axle that works beautifully and has been trouble free. The engine is barely audible at idle; has perfect oil pressure, new radiator, correct top with boot and bag for side pillars, original leather interior upholstery that has some wear in seams which can be re-stitched, back seat is excellent, new carpets and the original trunk interior light. The exhaust is N.O.S. muffler, which is made by Oldberg and has all the correct brackets, and supports. Top bows have been repainted and or re-chromed as necessary. It has the correct interior headliner used only on convertible sedans with the oval rear window, with a correct date code in the correct location. This car came from the factory painted a special spring color, Neenah cream and is probably the only example of a factory Neenah cream interior. I have records from the Ford archives ledger indicating that this car was originally painted this color. Most all Zephyrs had a beige interior. This car could easily be upgraded to a high point car as all mechanicals and wiring has been restored. It needs only to have the exterior re-painted. Bumpers have been re-chromed, rest of chrome is good to very good original. Complete set of tools and jack, and includes 2 of the 3 piece set of original factory accessory luggage, the only known example of these items. The car has an original radio with rare optional mast antennae. It has the original front brake dust shields, which is missing on many 39 and 40 cars. This car has not had restorations and is completely original, i.e. has not been modified or been through several restorations. When I obtained the car, the only thing that had been done was the exterior had been repainted. This is an excellent opportunity to acquire a very desirable Lincoln. These cars have appreciated in value in recent years. Two have sold for in the last month for over $100.000.00 dollars.
