The post-war advertisement for this vehicle read: A smart, husky new carrier is ready for you. The new Hudson Cab Pickup of 1946 was sold as a commercial vehicle and guaranteed fast, low-cost delivery service. The pickup had a passenger car front mated to a wide, utilitarian truck box. Not only did the front end look like a car, but it rode like one, too.
