| Description: 1950 Buick Special, This is a very nice clean car. It drives very well with little engine noise or vibration. The radio has been rebuilt and works well (AM only) there is a cord to be able to play an iPod or other media device. The engine is a 248 cubic inches, straight Eight which was professionally rebuilt by Harrisons Automotive. It has less than 100 miles after the rebuild. The pistons, rings, valves and valve springs, timing gears and chain, oil pump and water pump were all replaced. The cylinders were bored out to .030 oversized and the crank shaft was rebalanced and polished. The clutch and pressure plate were replaced with a rebuilt one from Kanter Auto Products. The fuel pump, coil, condenser and all exterior wires were replaced. This is essentially a new car from the inside out. It was sanded down to bare metal and repainted by Bill Lewis Motors. The paint is in excellent shape. The chrome and trim is complete and in good shape. The bumpers have some rust but are in decent overall shape. All the lights work properly. The two back door windows have cracks in them and the passenger side of the windshield and there are some very minor chips and scratches in the paint. The transmission leaks a little oil and the engine can be a little hard to shart after it sits. This is expected in a vehicle of this age with a 6 volt electrical system. The car comes with a complete reprint of the original owners manual, trim clips, fuses and a spare tire. This is a beautiful car! The vehicle is currently registered in the state of West Virginia. I have the title in hand. Asking $18000, Located in LEWISBURG WV 24901, Contact Martin at 304-667-1886 for more information. |
