1955 Cadillac Eldorado Convertible, Own a piece of Hollywood and Detroit history! This fully restored 1955 Cadillac Eldorado convertible was the first Cadillac with the shark fin and other famous design features. Also, included is the addition of a continental tire kit which adds a powerful finish to this classic beauty. The car was owned and personalized by the 50s 60s film actor stuntman Rodd Redwing. Special touches by Redwing include custom door emblems and a unique Thunderbird embellished parade boot at the rear. This car was ahead of its time with power top and power seats. The restoration of this original California car began with stripping the original paint down to bare metal. Matching black paint with multiple clear coats applied providing a wet shine to the car, by one of the premier auto body specialists in Dallas. All the bright work, bumpers, trim, etc. is either new or re-plated. The interior is completely refitted with gorgeous hand-sewn to original design red leather, new carpet, new or restored instruments and a matching leather dash. The trunk is completely fitted with new matching red liner fabric. The car has extensive and documented mechanical restoration completed, including new, period correct tires, brakes and brake lines front and rear, water pump, complete exhaust system, shocks, heater core and hoses, etc. The carburetors have been re-built and tuned, along with new plugs, points, rotor and cap. The drive shaft has been checked and rebalanced for smooth operation. The transmission and rear axle have been checked and serviced with new seals and gaskets installed, a new wiring harness. Plus many more important mechanical restorations have been completed. This is a wonderfully restored driver that will turn heads wherever you go. The car has appeared in a Neiman Marcus catalog photo and films. A comprehensive portfolio is included documenting the cars history, photographs of the entire restoration process, and famous Hollywood ownership including beautifully framed movie ads and posters of Rodd Redwings films included as a complete package as an option.
