Description:
Poised and unpretentious is this 1952 Chevrolet 2-door Bel Air 5-window hardtop. Powered by a freshly re-built 283cid V-8 Gen 1 small block Chevy and is mated to a 350 Turbo automatic transmission. Power to the rear wheels is through a 10-bolt - 3.40'1 gear set. On top of this 1957 small block sits a 4V - AFB Carter 500cfm carburetor. Paint is flat black primer over the original code #236 green leather-green cloth interior. This car was originally painted in Emerald Green, code 470 and can be easily converted back to the original color. This top of the line Bel Air came with fender skirts, back up lights, turn signals, deep pile carpeting, heater and defroster, stainless steel stone shields on the rear fenders, clock and much more when it came off the line in St. Louis. During the restoration a nice low restriction dual exhaust system was installed, along with a straight side pipes for country driving, a modern day alternator, 205/70x15 WSW tires, high flow radiator, seat belts and new chrome were installed. And note those nice period Oldsmobile 3-spinner full wheel covers. A very nice touch to this Rat Rod Chevy. Chevy touted this 5-window hardtop in many of their advertisements during this model year. One ad said this. 'More beautiful than ever.' Yet another stated - 'The most colorful performer in the low-priced field.' This is a classy car. This Bel Air also comes with the original owner's manuals. It should also be noted that if you are a car collector and do not have a 5-window in your collection this is the one to have. This was the last year for the 5-window hardtop. The next year a wraparound type rear window was incorporated into the design. Panels and gaps are nice and straight. All chrome and moldings look wonderful too. The interior looks fantastic and is quite luxurious for its time. The seats, door panels and carpeting are all in great shape. If you are looking to get into the classic car hobby there are few places to invest your money than ole Chevy's. Where else can you get this much classic American iron for this little money? Take it to a show or feel good driving our country roads and know you will have peace of mind during the entire trip. This vehicle is located in our Atlanta showroom. For more information,
