This is a really nice old truck and completely functional. I brought it to Texas from a one owner family in South Dakota. There is zero rust on this truck even the cab corners are perfect. The glass is all in and the door windows roll up and down properly. The windshield has a small crack but not on drivers side ,and is small. The interior is very nice ,it has a new seat upholstery lately and it is correct to the year model truck. It has a rubber floor mat in the floor and that also would be correct to this year model truck. As for the motor, it starts easy and runs good, the 4 speed manual transmission is tight and has no howls. This truck also has the factory 2 speed rear end upgrade and it is very smooth when it shifts. I have personally drove this truck about 50 miles after our friends in South Dakota drove it about 125 miles to their new home. I'm telling you that it is road worthy and the dump works like new. I forgot to mention the motor is the factory 235 straight 6 cylinder. As for the tires , they are just old average tires plenty good enough to use around town or on the farm. I drove it from Hot Springs South Dakota in August and that is uphill all the way and it gave me no heating problems or any other kind of problems. I only drove it 55 mph because that is where it likes to run easy. This truck has had a recent new paint job and really looks sweet. We get a lot of compliments on this rig. The paint looks good but I'm telling you in advance it is not a Barrett Jackson truck , and it is not a $ 5,000 .00 paint job. There are still small dings and what not on this truck. But it looks real sharp. I only say all that other stuff because inevidently someone on ebay will buy it it for $ 6,500.00 and expect a $7,000 paint job. What you see is what you get.
Wouldn't it look great sitting outside your business as a promotional tool , or maybe at the gate of your farm or ranch with your name on it. That is what I was going to do with it , but I bought a fire truck instead. I would still like to keep it if I could sell the fire truck instead. It is a 1951 Ford for $ 4,250.00
My name is Bill
