Description: This is an original vehicle with 23,374 miles on the odometer; and was owned by one owner from 1953 to 1991. She's been a collector's car since '91. There were 17,450 miles registered on the odometer when the car was appraised in 1993. The car is a non-smoker's car. Ash trays have never been used!
I have the original owner's title, 1953 license plate, original purchase order and delivery order from the dealership, owner's manual, and service brochure.
The 6 cylinder flat-head engine starts every time and runs so quietly that you can hardly hear it! The Gyro-Matic transmission shifts smoothly and correctly. There is not a dent in the car, nor a rock-peck nor crack anywhere in the windshields and windows. The interior of the car is absolutely immaculate. Gauges, speedometer, and AM radio work properly, as does the heater/defroster, wipers, turn signals, back-up light, headlights, parking lights, and taillights. Fuel gauge, dome light, and clock do not work. The original spare tire is mounted with the jack and lug wrench in the ultra-clean trunk. The factory markings are still on the firewall. I have shown the car in 25 car shows and she has 26 trophys to her credit: two Best of Show Awards, one President's Choice Award, one Mayor's Choice Award, one People's Choice Award, one Participant's Pick Award, one Longest Distance Driven Award, seven 1st Place Awards, six 2nd Place Awards, four 3rd Place trophys, a Top 50 Award, and a Top 100 Award. If you want to own and drive a classic car from the 50's that you will not have to spend a dime on to get ready for the car show circuit, then don't let this beauty get away from you. I've driven her to every car show, and have even made three 220-mile round trips to Winona, MS to participate in car shows; and twice to the car shows in Pontotoc MS for the past two years, and have never had a minute's trouble with the vehicle. She's 'road ready' and is a joy to drive! Reduced in price from $13,900 to $11,000!
