Description: Possibly one of the best of its kind on this piece of space rock, this Ford is done righteously, finished in an ocean of powder blue with violet pearl bursting out in the sunlight like some kind of hidden treasure. Interior upholstery in a complementary blue and white theme features button tufted white biscuits with medium blue wool carpet and a blue Mercedes cloth folding top. Parked next to a stock Ford cousin, you would hardly recognize this wonderfully modified frame scraper as the same vehicle. It is sectioned 3-1/2 inches and the top is chopped 3-1/2 inches; the car is slammed another 5 inches to make it fully a foot lower than it was 56 years ago. This spectacular custom has more features than we could possibly list without putting the reader to sleep, but here are a few of the more obvious, skillfully crafted modifications to this ride: The body is shaved, nosed, decked, frenched, wrenched, hammered, slammed, smoothed, pounded and rounded to include trim and mechanical features from all three major American automakers. The hood and trunk corners are radiused, the headlights are frenched, bumpers are from a 1954 Ford, the oval grille shell displays a 1959 Chrysler bar, 1959 Oldsmobile side trim separates the two tone paint, and unmistakable 1959 Cadillac bullet taillights peek out of the custom made nacelles aft. Under the hood a powerful Chevy 350 provides a gob of power and a TH350 transmission gets it to the business end of the car. The engine is cooled nicely by a Griffin radiator, and it won___t get hot even when the temperature is 100 degrees and the air conditioner is running. In addition to the AC, this Ford is luxury equipped with power disk brakes, power steering, power windows, a tilt column with leather wrapped LeCarra steering wheel, electric wipers, and a 10 disc CD player. Typical of the incredible custom engineering that went into this droptop, check out the dashboard ___ donated by a 1953 Oldsmobile, but so perfectly fit it looks like it came from the factory with it.
