This gorgeous 1955Thunderbird convertible, as noted on the original window sticker, has an engine dress-up kit, removable hardtop, new white convertible top and a white tenau cover, in addition to sport wire wheel covers. The car was first restored in the 1970's by it's previous owner, Bill Bixby ('The Hulk'). The car was then purchased from Mr. Bixby in 1982 and completely restored for the second time by the new owner in 1985. The restoration consisted of a total frame-off with pictures evidencing the detail of the work performed. This gorgeous automobile was then put into storage for 20 years and just recently put on the road, so that the car has less than 300 miles on the restoration! The paint on this vehicle is a torch red nitrous-oxide lacquer paint. As a result, the paint is showing its age with some small cracks that are generally seen only when the car is not directly in the sun. This Thunderbird, during its restoration, had a complete engine and transmission rebuild. The detail and paint underneath this Bird, is as beautiful as its exterior. This gorgeous specimen of a 1955 T-Bird has the potential of being a first place national winner after the minor repair work to the paint.
