| Description: Sugar & Spice was built by Ron Grattan of North Royalton, Ohio beginning in 1987. He owned his own body and paint shop and did all of the conversion himself. The sled has been chopped four inches and he shaved all of the doors, deck and hood. Originally a four door, he reworked the body and installed doors from a two door. This modification gives the car a unique profile. The modified Chevy 350 engine and turbo tranny are mounted on a 1987 Camero sub frame. The headlights and taillights are frenched along with the frenched and tunneled power antenna. The body has molded seams and tailights. The doors, the tinted windows, and the trunk are electric powered from a remote control. Cosmetic changes include molded lake pipes and twin spotlights. The interior , of wine mohair, includes the Cadillac tilt and telescoping steering wheel, power six way Cadillac front seat and barrel type Ford Thunderbird rear seats. The dash has been covered and all the new Stewart Warner gauges are mounted in a center floor console. This console also contains the Panasonic disk player and all the controls for the lights. This includes the undermounted purple neons and the neon lights in the trunk. There are also exterior speakers for the stereo. The interior upholstery contains five different patterns. The grill and radiator are from Chrysler products and the front park lights are stained glass. The trunk has been reworked and contains two air tanks and the compressor for the air ride system. The controls for this system are designed so each airbag is individually controlled. New air-conditioning and an auxiliary radiator fan have been installed . The vehicle has power steering , power brakes, two speed windshield wipers and blue dot taillights. The only chrome left are the original Mercury bumpers. The unique paint color is flamed lilac with two coats of red flip flop over it and a white mock Carson top. Click here to contact seller |
