Description:
A Plum Crazy Purple paint job is still curing on this 1973 Dodge Challenger 2-door hardtop that just completed a re-build on a 340cid SIX-PACK V-8. And is bolted to a Torque-Flite automatic transmission and a 3.60:1 gear set. Under a thousand miles on this beauty and while it was under the lights an aluminum radiator, Edlebrock aluminum intake; a conversion to a serpentine pulley system was also installed. Along with a MSD ignition system, vintage air conditioning, rack & pinion, Flowmaster headers and exhaust system and much more were included. Inside sits a new dash, carpeting, headliner, black vinyl seat covers, floor mats, deck shelf, new weather stripping all around, a modern Kenwood stereo system and all misc. trim. Remember the day that you got your driver's license? This is better. A recent check on the dyno showed an amazing 478 hp at the rear wheels. Fresh 235/45R17's - fronts and 255/45R17's tires at the rear are wrapped around period American Racing wheels. Equipment and options also included in this package are power brakes and steering and air conditioning. For 1973 the Challenger continued to be a highly sought after Dodge so the Mopar designers freshened it up a bit. A new, more modern roofline was crafted around the quarter windows. The new window line was more conservative than before. A fresh grille was updated and the most notable change was the rear tail lamps. They included 22 individual lenses. The car has been meticulously cared for by its previous owners, which always adds up over the years. Upon close inspection, both underneath, in the engine bay and trunk areas, it is believed to be a southern car. The current owner has carefully gone to great detail in restoring this Challenger. He has used nothing but highest quality parts and using the most highly respected restorers. Further adding to this car's desirability, I have the restoration receipts and related documents. You could never restore this car for what I am asking for it. Mopars like this continue to increase in value. If you are looking for a fun car that will prove to be a time-tested investment, there are few better places to invest your money than a Challenger. Challengers have always been some of the most sought after cars by collectors and for good reason. Where else can you get this much classic America iron for this little money? If you have never gone down a backcountry road in a Challenger you don't know what you are missing! Give us a call. This vehicle is located in our Atlanta showroom. For more information,
