This Mark III has been kept in great condition since it left the factory in 1970. One repaint has been done on the car and man it looks good. The Rolls Royce style grill up front makes you remember that this car was made for luxury. The blade like fenders flow over the wheel wells, creating an elegant form for such a large vehicle. The roof is in excellent condition and might as well be brand new. Inside the colors match the exterior with gorgeous gold leather throughout. The large dash has surpassed the test of time and looks immaculate as well. With so much leather you would expect some cracking and fading, but that option didn't come with this car by any means. During its time this car was one of the largest on the market, only match by Cadillac's '75 Fleetwood limonene. To keep this 'King of the Hill' moving a 460 cubic inch V8 7.5L was placed under the hood. This engine was optional after '78 and replaced with a 400 cu engine in '79. Although it shared the Continental name with other Lincoln models, it was based on the Ford Thunderbird sedan platform, the first body-on-frame Lincoln since 1957. It was also equipped with standard radials which were a first for American cars. Powered by a high 10.5:1 compression ratio on the 460 creating 365 BHP there is need to worry about this beauty hiding it's beast inside. If luxury is what you want, then this Mark III is what you should get.
