Everything rides on highly polished Halibrand aluminum wheels that are wrapped in low profile Bridgestone/Firestone radial tires. Under the hood rests a powerful 383ci V8 that boasts around 400hp and with a stomp of the accelerator, you'll feel the rear tires break loose as if this pristine piece of rear wheel drive muscle is skating on ice. The Buick Grand National 4spd automatic transmission (TH200R), with over drive, shifts smooth and pulls strong. Sitting atop the 383 block is an upgraded Edelbrock intake, fuel injection with knock sensors, Trickflow aluminum heads which mount up to Sanderson tubular headers that sends the exhaust through stainless steel pipes and the new mufflers really give this baby an aggressive yet subtle sound. A new 4-core radiator keeps this powerful ride cool even while sitting in traffic and the trunk mounted battery not only helps out with weight distribution, but along with the high torque mini starter, ensures a strong start-up with every turn of the ignition key. The 100-amp alternator keeps the current flowing and the Dana 44 rear end with its 3.73 gears and Tru-trac differential can plant you back in the seat like only a car with this kind of UMPH under its hood can. New Koni adjustable rear shocks, new front suspension, king pins and KYB shocks are what helps give this power steering car such an awesome ride. Turner front brake conversion gives this power braking Avanti II 11 1/2' ventilated front rotors with GM calipers. The new A/C compressor, converted to R134 refrigerant, with new belts and hoses, ensures a comfortable and cool ride even on those hot summer days. Walking around this gorgeous Avanti II's original fiberglass body, you can't help but notice all of the near flawless chrome, the perfect body panel fitment and the tightness of the doors, hood and trunk. Looking inside reveals the original Recaro custom leather bucket seats up front and the perfect rear bench seat in which all are wrapped in soft and subtle navy blue leather. New carpet throughout really shows off the highly detailed interior with its gorgeous wood trim. Power windows, antenna, door locks, which also feature keyless entry and a remote trunk release, rear window defogger, tilt wheel, cruise control and the original factory power sunroof/moonroof tells you that this baby is fully optioned out. A new JVC KD-5100 AM/FM/CD player with remote, Bongiovi Acoustics, MP3 player, SD card, USB and detachable face sends the tunes to the new door and package tray speakers the keep your eyes happy.
